Financial Grants

A limited number of FINANCIAL GRANTS for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in EDUCATION will be available for the 2026-2027 academic school year. These grants are sponsored by the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.

*PURPOSE AND ELIGIBILITY *

The purpose of the Recruitment Grant is to provide financial assistance and encouragement to students planning to become credentialed teachers.

Applicants must meet the following MINIMUM requirements:

• Los Angeles County resident

• G.P.A. 3.0 or higher

• Qualified as upper division status working toward a credential in Education

• Two letters of reference by educators who can evaluate the applicant’s academic and personal qualifications. Send link at end of application to your referents.

• A 200-word typed autobiographical essay, non-AI generated, that addresses obstacles faced and financial needs

• Official transcripts (or verified facsimiles)

• Copy of current class schedule showing evidence of work toward a single or multiple subject credential
