DRC - Muriel Nicole Bruno Scholarship

Muriel Nicole Bruno was born June 1970 and found out early in life that an education was what she wanted. She also found out that it would be hard to attain. Muriel learned in second grade that she had “learning disabilities” and that it was going to take strength and patience to reach her goals. From that day in second grade to June of 1993, when she received her college diploma, Muriel learned that her dream of education would not come easy. After high school, Muriel went south to San Diego, attending Grossmont College. Muriel found her hard work paying off and dreams coming true, she was a college woman. Muriel spent two years at Fullerton College earning her AA degree in 1991, later transferring to California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 1991 as a Communications major. Muriel pledged Sigma Kappa Sorority her first quarter at Cal Poly. Knowing this was another dream come true, she wanted to enjoy and celebrate. Muriel accomplished her goal and graduated in 1993.
