College of Ag- Vet Sci- Annenberg Scholarship
This scholarship is intended to support a dedicated student majoring in Animal Health Science at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, who demonstrates a strong academic record and a clear commitment to animal welfare.
Eligibility Criteria:
Grade Level: Currently enrolled undergraduate (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior)
Major: Animal Health Science
GPA: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Enrollment: Must currently be enrolled full-time (12+ units or more)
Other Requirements:
Demonstrate a genuine interest in animal welfare, including but not limited to:
- Shelter medicine
- Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs
- Access to care programs
- Animal welfare research
- Community outreach programs
Understand and articulate how animal welfare is influenced by factors such as:
- Adoption rates
- Public education
- Community engagement
- Economic disparities and barriers to veterinary care
