Engineering - Young Leaders in Engineering Scholarship
The Young Leaders in Engineering Scholarship is intended to support undergraduates majoring in Engineering who are active members of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). Participation will be verified by the SWE advisor, Dr. Lily Gossage. Students who are awarded this scholarship will carry this scholarship for a maximum of four years with the goal of moving as efficiently as possible toward graduation while maintaining a strong academic record (GPA 3.0 or higher and full-time).
Award Period: Fall 2026
Criteria:
1) Be an active member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
2) Be an engineering major
3) Be an Undergraduate (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior) (admit term must be prior to this academic year, newly admitted Freshmen and transfers not eligible to apply)
4) Be enrolled full-time (at the time of applying and at the time the scholarship is awarded)
5) Have a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0
6) Possess excellent leadership and communication skills
7) Must be of high scholarship merit and potential
8) Student must complete supplemental requirements
As a scholarship recipient, you will be invited to attend the College of Engineering Scholarship Conferral luncheon. Please monitor your email regularly for details. While this event is not mandatory, it is a unique opportunity for you to meet the donor. We highly recommend that you make every effort to attend.
