PolyTransfer - Bernard Osher Scholarship for California Community College Transfer Students
POLYTRANSFER SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The PolyTransfer Program has partnered with the Bernard & Barbro and Crankstart Foundations to offer the following scholarship opportunities for Cal Poly Pomona Transfer Students:
1) The Bernard Osher Scholarship
2) Crankstart Scholarship for California Community College Transfer Students
Important Note: Your scholarship application will be considered for the Crankstart OR Bernard Osher scholarships, not both. These scholarships may be renewable, pending fund availability, if you enroll in classes the academic year following your initial award period.
Bernard Osher Scholarship Description:
In 2012, to complement the scholarship program for California Community College (CCC) students, the Bernard Osher Foundation provided individual endowment gifts to 21 California State University and University of California institutions to support scholarships for students transferring from a CCC to those baccalaureate campuses.
Criteria:
- Must be transferring from or have transferred from a CCC with at least 60-semester or 90-quarter units
- Must be entering the institution at the junior level or above
- Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the awarding year FAFSA or DREAM Act application (i.e. if the award period is 2025-2026, FAFSA or DREAM Act application must be filed for 2025-2026)
The Bernard Osher Scholarship is designated specifically to pay a portion of basic tuition and fees. Eligibility for other fee-specific paying financial aid/resources such as Cal Grant or State University Grant you are receiving may be affected if you are selected to receive this scholarship .
Award: Up to $2,500 for Tuition and Fees
