ENV - Art - The Sam Francis Foundation Endowed Scholarship

The Sam Francis Foundation endowment was established in 2020, with the goal of continuing the mission of Sam Francis, dedicated to the transformative power of art as a force for change.

Criteria:

  • Open to all undergraduate class levels (freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior) (including first-time freshmen and transfers admitted in fall 2025)
  • Must be majoring in Art History, Graphic Design, or Visual Communication Design
  • Must be enrolled full-time (12 units or more) at the time of disbursement
  • Must have a 3.25 or higher CPP GPA
  • Must complete supplemental requirements
  • A portfolio of work in .pdf format for students in Studio Art, or Visual Communication Design will be required.

The award amount may change based on available funding.
