Undocumented Students Services (USS) Scholarship
This $250 scholarship honors students who have shown a strong commitment to both their education and their community as well as demonstrates financial need. It is open to all students who qualify for in-state tuition and demonstrate financial need as determined by the California Dream Act Application (CADAA).
Established in Spring 2006, this initiative was made possible through the vision and dedication of Ricardo Ortega, then President of the Mexican American Student Association, with the support of his family and friends. Their efforts continue to provide meaningful opportunities for students pursuing their academic and personal aspirations.
Our ability to determine financial need is important during the scholarship selection process. This information is not reported to anyone; only professional staff in the Undocumented Students Services and professional staff members of the Selection Committee will review it.
