Engineering - CE - The Huff Family Scholarship in Civil Engineering

This scholarship is open to continuing freshmen in the College of Engineering who demonstrate an interest in civil engineering.

Award Period: Fall 2025

Criteria:

• Open to current Freshman Only
• Major must be Civil Engineering
• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Demonstrate financial need by submitting the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application
• Submit a 500-word essay detailing your financial need and your motivation to become a civil engineer
• Must be enrolled full-time (12 or more units) during the entire award period
• California residency is required

_Award winners will be determined based on their academic ability, motivation, and financial need.

Scholarship recipients will be asked to attend a scholarship conferral event scheduled for Thursday, September 25, 2025. While this event is not mandatory, it is an opportunity for recipients to meet the donor; we encourage you to attend.
