Engineering - CME - Ralph and Nadean Morton Memorial Scholarship

To provide one $3,000 scholarship to Chemical Engineering students in the College of Engineering. Scholarship is need based related to the university’s annual cost of attendance. To be disbursed for students who are enrolled in 9 or more units and are sophomores or above.

Criteria

  • College: College of Engineering
  • Major: Chemical Engineering
  • GPA: 2.8 or above CPP or Cumulative
  • Enrollment: 9 units or more when receiving the scholarships
  • Class level: undergraduate- sophomore or above when receiving disbursement.
  • Open to international students
  • Answer supplemental questions

As a scholarship recipient, you will be invited to attend the College of Engineering Scholarship Conferral luncheon in Fall 2025 (tentatively scheduled September 25, 2025). We highly recommend that you make every effort to attend, as this is a unique opportunity for you to meet the donor.

  1. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide a hand up to students who are dedicated to successfully completing their Chemical Engineering studies, but are otherwise experiencing economic, family or personal challenges thus creating an additional burden beyond the normal every day load of academic study. In no more than 500 words, please describe your situation and how some additional funding would help reduce the impact of nonacademic external loads and increase your chances for academic success.
