Engineering - Edison STEM Scholars Scholarship
Edison International recognizes students who want to be makers of tomorrow’s dreamers, inventors, guardians and pioneers those who dare to be great. The “Edison STEM Scholars Scholarship” recognizes students who are pursuing a STEM major in the related fields (see list below).
Criteria:
1) STEM Majors (related fields):
- Chemical Engineering,
- Chemistry,
- Civil Engineering,
- Computer Engineering,
- Computer Information Systems,
- Computer Science,
- Electrical Engineering,
- Engineering Technology,
- Electronic Systems Engineering Technology,
- Electromechanical Systems Engineering Technology,
- Geology,
- Industrial Engineering,
- Manufacturing Engineering,
- Mathematics,
- Mechanical Engineering,
- Physics,
- Technology Operations Management
2) Be an undergraduate (freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior)
3) Be enrolled full-time (at the time of applying and at the time the scholarship is awarded)
4) Have cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
5) Submitted the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act (CDAA)
6) Demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is intended for students who can demonstrate financial need, especially first-generation college students who have overcome significant challenges
Scholarship recipients will be asked to attend a scholarship conferral event scheduled for Thursday, September 25, 2025. While this event is not mandatory, it is an opportunity for recipients to meet the donor; we encourage you to attend.

- In no more than 500 words, write an essay with titles for each section discussing the following topics: A) Statement of Need: Discuss how this scholarship will benefit you: B) Statement of Educational/Career Goals: Discuss your educational and career aspirations and: C) Statement of Involvement: Describe your co-curricular activities, and/or leadership experience.
