Engineering - ARO - Lord Family Scholarship for Aerospace Engineering
The Lord Family Scholarship was established to provide scholarship support to undergraduate juniors and seniors majoring in Aerospace Engineering.
This scholarship is for Aerospace students who have just successfully completed all of the Aerospace courses on the Aerospace Flow Chart through the end of the junior year, and have already registered for Senior Project and/or Senior Design sequence for Fall 2024. (enrollment criteria will be verified at the end of Spring 2025, before awarding scholarship)
Criteria
- Open to juniors, and seniors (admit term must be prior to Spring of this academic year, newly admitted transfers not eligible to apply)
- Must have CPP GPA of 3.0 or greater at the time of applying
- Must be Aerospace major
- Must have Financial need, as evidenced by submitted FAFSA or CADAA
- Must have taken ARO 3011 and passed with a grade of A
- By the end of Spring 2025, will have completed all ARO courses on the Aerospace Flow Chart through the end of Junior Year (except possibly ARO 3570L and ARO 2311/L).
- Will be taking either Senior Design or Senior Project in Fall 2024.
- Submit CPP Unofficial Transcript and ARO Flow Chart Showing Courses to be completed by end of Spring 2025
- Answer supplemental questions
NOTE: Scholarship is renewable and eligible students will be able to receive the award for up to 3 years.
Scholarship recipients will be asked to attend a scholarship conferral event scheduled for Thursday, September 25, 2025. While this event is not mandatory, it is an opportunity for recipients to meet the donor; we encourage you to attend.
