Engineering - ARO - Lord Family Scholarship for Aerospace Engineering
The Lord Family Scholarship was established to provide scholarship support to undergraduate juniors and seniors majoring in Aerospace Engineering.
This scholarship is for Aerospace students who have just successfully completed all of the Aerospace courses on the Aerospace Flow Chart through the end of the junior year, and have already registered for Senior Project and/or Senior Design sequence for Fall 2026. (enrollment criteria will be verified at the end of Spring 2026, before awarding scholarship)
Criteria
- Grade level: Juniors and seniors (Newly admitted spring transfer students are not eligible to apply)
- Major: Aerospace
- Minimum GPA: CPP GPA of 3.0 or higher
Other criteria: - Demonstrated Financial Need: Must complete the 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA)
- Must have taken ARO 3011 and passed with a grade of A
- By the end of Spring 2026, will have completed all ARO courses on the Aerospace Flow Chart through the end of Junior Year (except possibly ARO 3570L and ARO 2311/L)
- Will be taking either Senior Design or Senior Project in Fall 2026
- Supplemental Requirements: Submit CPP Unofficial Transcript and ARO Flow Chart Showing Courses to be completed by end of Spring 2026 and answer supplemental questions
NOTE: Scholarship is renewable and eligible students will be able to receive the award for up to 3 years.
