Engineering - CE - James Gates Scholarship Endowment
This scholarship is offering awards to undergraduate students who are a Civil Engineering (CE) major and have completed at least 30 or more CE program units.
Criteria:
- Open to current: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior
- Student must be first-generation
- Must be majoring in Civil Engineering
- Must have a minimum major and cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Demonstrate financial need as demonstrated by submitted FAFSA corresponding to the awarding period
- Submit a one-page essay describing your entrepreneurial activities, experiences, or plans in civil engineering
- Must be enrolled full-time (12 or more units) for the entire award period
- California residency required.
Selection will be based on students’ entrepreneurial POTENTIAL, essay, and financial need
As a scholarship recipient, you will be invited to attend the College of Engineering Scholarship Conferral luncheon. Please monitor your email regularly for details. While this event is not mandatory, it is a unique opportunity for you to meet the donor. We highly recommend that you make every effort to attend.
