LRC - Dawn Van Bruggen Memorial Scholarship (Tutor)

The Dawn Van Bruggen Memorial Scholarship was established by the Learning Resource Center to honor former LRC tutor, Dawn, who passed away on July 30, 1999. In addition to her job as a tutor, she also served the university by working for both Housing and Commencement. Dawn was an exceptional employee, a determined and involved student, as well as a good friend. She was energetic, hardworking, dependable, honest, and outgoing. She was also a humble person who sought tutoring for her own benefit. In spite of the demands of school and work, Dawn also found time to volunteer with the Disability Resource Center and Rose Float Club.

To keep her memory alive, this year a $1,000 scholarship will be given to a tutor who provided tutoring in the Learning Resource Center during the current academic year and exemplifies Dawn’s qualities.
