Sigma Nu Kappa Gamma Chapter Emerging Leaders

In the spirit of fostering leadership and initiative, Sigma Nu Fraternity at Cal Poly Pomona is proud to announce the Sigma Nu Emerging Leaders Scholarship for students who are eager to make a positive difference within our community. We believe that leadership takes many forms and is not confined to a single discipline or major.

This scholarship, an amount of $1,000, aims to encourage the spirit of leadership that aligns with the core values of Sigma Nu: love, truth, honor, teamwork, and the courage to start something new. We aspire to support those who display potential and have the drive to inspire change and progress.

Criteria:

  • Open to all majors
  • must be enrolled full-time
  • cumulative GPA must be greater than or equal to 2.5
  • Applicants must demonstrate their commitment to the core principles of leadership in their academic, personal, and community endeavors (can exhibit a strong commitment to leadership via school and community activities or work experiences)
  • Submit a maximum 250-word personal statement detailing what leadership means to you, how you’ve displayed leadership in your life, and how you plan to use this scholarship to further enhance your leadership skills.
  • Submit resume
  • Complete interview process. The selected recipients will be notified by February 5th, 2023. Interviews will be scheduled/conducted on a rolling basis depending on application.

Winners will be announced on February 26th, 2024

Through the Sigma Nu Leadership Scholarship, we hope to foster the spirit of leadership and initiative, empowering our fellow students to pave their own paths and make a meaningful impact in their community. Join us on this journey of fostering leaders for tomorrow.
