Renaissance Scholars - In-N-Out Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria:
• Must be a current Renaissance Scholars
• Must be in good academic standing Academically and Good Program Standing (GPS) with Renaissance Scholars
• Must be in good standing with The Conduct and Integrity Office at CPP
• Must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or more during the time of application and during disbursement term
• Must be enrolled in classes 6 units or more for spring 2024 during time of application
• Must demonstrate financial need (FAFSA or Dream application on file)
• Must demonstrate a commitment to meeting the 3 RS Components and Class Level Requirements listed below and on the back of the Renaissance Scholars quarter calendars (maintaining 12 units, making satisfactory progress towards graduation, meeting with an educational counselor, coordinator and following through with recommendations, and overall participation in the program: success seminar participation, peer mentoring )
• Submit supplemental essay

RS COMPONENTS – Fall & Spring ALL STUDENTS:
1. Attend 2 Advising Meetings with RS Educational Counselor
Turn in Mid Semester Progress Report (MQPR)
Attend 1 Financial Meeting with RS Coordinator

2. Participate in 2 RS Virtual Educational Enrichment Events

3. Attend Mandatory Event

  • Fall-RS Fall Kick Off Aug 19, 2022
  • Winter- RS 2 Day Annual Retreat Jan 19-20, 2023

CLASS LEVEL REQUIREMENTS:
First-Year Students: (Freshmen & Transfer Students who are first-year RS Students)
• Attend Freshman Success Seminar (FSS) on designated Fridays from 2-4 pm
• Attend Transfer Success Seminar (TSS) on designated Fridays from 2-4 pm
• Participate in RS Peer Mentoring Program (PMP)

Sophomore Standing Students:* *Participation is based on academic/program standing
• Participate in Sophomore Success Seminar: Mentoring with an RS Peer Mentor

Junior Standing Students:
• Participate in Junior/Pre-Graduation Success Seminar: Complete Benchmark Requirement

Senior Standing Students:
• Attend Senior Success Seminar on designated Tuesdays or Thursdays from 12-1 pm (U-Hour)

Please share your own “Mission Statement” as it relates to this year’s theme of R.I.S.E.: Resilience, Initiative, Solutions-Focused, and Evolve. What do these words mean to you and how do you continue to Rise Above Adversity. Also share with us your current financial need and what the scholarship money would be used for if you receive the scholarship funds.
